About the Ducor Institute
We help communities tackle their issues by providing policymakers and local leaders with critical information.
Our Story
The Ducor Institute for Social and Economic Research is a Liberia-based think tank established by Liberian researchers, policy practitioners, and activists to conduct research and policy analysis to inform public policy, and train professionals in the field of social research and policy analysis. Ducor was fully registered under the Corporations Act of Liberia in 2022. Together, the founders of the Ducor Institute have decades of experience working across government, private sector, academia, think tanks and non-governmental organizations.
The Ducor Institute supports clients from all sectors – government, NGOs, civil society organizations, and business – with evidence-based research that supports policy-making, advocacy and social-economic development interventions.
Ducor is the indigenous name for the area surrounding the mouth of the Mesurado River, presently known as Monrovia, Liberia’s capital city.
