Nicholas Brosius

Research Officer

Nicholas Brosius is a Research Assistant at the Ducor Institute for Social and Economic Research, a Liberia-based think tank. He brings over five years of experience in research, project, and program management across youth development, governance, and peacebuilding initiatives.

An alumnus of the African Leaders Development Institute, Nicholas has served as Program Director at the Education Youth Initiative–Liberia and worked with the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (Sub-Saharan Africa). As a consultant, he contributed to Season 5 of the “Let’s Talk Human Rights” podcast, focusing on transitional justice, social cohesion, intergenerational learning, and Liberia’s democratization process.

Nicholas holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from AME University and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in International Relations at Cuttington Graduate School and Professional Studies. His academic and professional interests lie in comparative politics, governance, conflict resolution, and political development. He is particularly interested in how institutional frameworks and public policies influence democratic transitions and socio-political stability in post-conflict societies.
