The Ducor Institute is pleased to announce that Jamie Hitchen has joined our network of experts as a fellow. Our experts are a hugely valuable resource to the work the Ducor Institute does, with each bringing extensive experience and unique perspectives and insights to support the work that we do.

Jamie has supported the Institute since its inception providing guidance and advice to research exploring political economy dynamics in Liberia and in conducting qualitative evaluations for partners. In addition he has extensive experience working across West Africa where his research work has focused on the interaction of social media and politics and the ever evolving ways in which online communication channels are shaping the socio-political landscape. Reflections that were captured in a volume he co-edited entitled ‘WhatsApp and Everyday Life in West Africa’.

Jamie will provide valuable insights and connections to the Institute as it looks to build its regional presence.
